New Orleans has always been a city the world recognizes.

A city people love.

A city people feel connected to — even if they’ve never stepped foot in it.

No matter what the city endured…

no matter what it survived…

no matter how it changed…

its heartbeat never faded.

But after Hurricane Katrina, everything shifted.

I was working for a major utility company at the time, watching the storm unfold in real time. I saw the devastation, the fear, the loss — not just of homes, but of identity. People weren’t just relocated from their neighborhoods; they were relocated from their culture.

Their porch talk.

Their second lines.

Their food.

Their rhythm.

Their laughter.

Their way of life.

Everything they knew themselves to be… scattered across the country.

And that stayed with me.

Years later, during my awakening journey, I realized something powerful:

There was so much of New Orleans I had never truly explored or indulged in myself. And without even knowing it, I began creating music that carried the flavor of home — music that could blend with anything simply by adding one word:

Lenian.

That’s when Lenian Nation™ was born.

As the music formed, something became clear in my heart:

Lenian Nation™ wasn’t created to be cute, funny, or entertaining.

It was created because my heart had something it needed to give.

Everything I created before Lenian Nation™ — especially my Awakening Playlist — was already leading me back to myself. This moment didn’t start something new; it brought my entire journey full circle.

I wanted to build something that could bring New Orleans back home to the people who lost it — no matter where life relocated them.

But Lenian Nation™ isn’t only for the ones who left.

It’s also for the ones who stayed.

The ones who love everything about New Orleans.

The ones who feel connected to the culture even if they’ve never lived there.

The ones who dream of visiting one day.

The ones who need joy when life is lifing.

The ones who need escape when the world feels heavy.

The ones who need a reminder that somebody out here cares.

That’s why I answered the call to create universal second‑lining heartbeats — music that feels like movement, joy, and freedom.

And I added jitterbug stepping energy so EVERYBODY, everywhere, could feel included in one sound.

A sound that doesn’t belong to one city anymore…

but belongs to anyone who needs a moment of joy, a moment of escape, a moment of home.

If this message, this culture, this sound doesn’t speak to you — that’s okay.

Lenian Nation™ is here only if you want it.

With God’s grace, Lenian Nation™ is in motion.

And if you’re listening, watching, laughing, dancing, or just vibing… thank you for being part of the journey.

This is my giving back.

This is my heart.

This is Lenian Nation™.

This Mission.

This Moment.

This Movement.

And if you feel led to answer your own call — start it, finish it, and celebrate it, no matter what people do, say, or think. You will be amazed by what it does for you — things you couldn’t have dreamed up even if you tried.

Remember! You have at least one person cheering for you.
